“WORK OUT YOUR OWN SALVATION WITH FEAR AND TREMBLING.” (PHILIPPIANS,2:-12)
CHRIST CHOSEN DISCIPLES:
FOR THOSE WHO ARE CONVERSANT WITH THE BOOK OF PSALMS, MOST ESPECIALLY THOSE OF US IN THE WHITE GARMENT CHURCH.
IT IS OUR CUSTOM TO USE PSALM 51 BEFORE OR DURING OUR DEVOTIONAL WORSHIP.
WE CONSTANTLY BEG OUR HEAVENLY FATHER TO WASH US THOROUGHLY FROM OUR INIQUITIES AND CLEANSE US FROM OUR SINS. (PSALM, 51:-2)
AS WE CONSTANTLY RECITE THIS PSALM, LET US WORK AND WALK TOWARDS OUR INDIVIDUAL SALVATION.
PHILIPPIANS, 2:-12 “THEREFORE MY BELOVED, AS YOU HAVE ALWAYS OBEYED, NOT AS IN MY PRESENCE ONLY, BUT NOW MUCH MORE IN MY ABSENCE, WORK OUT YOUR OWN SALVATION WITH FEAR AND TREMBLING.”
WE MUST MAKE A TANGIBLE EFFORTS TO STAY AWAY FROM INTENSIONAL SIN(S) THAT ARE CAPABLE OF DESTROYING OUR RELATIONSHIP WITH GOD.
WE MUST NOT RUBBISH THE GRACE OF FORGIVENESS BY REASON OF GOING BACK TO COMMIT THE SAME SIN(S) OVER AND OVER AGAIN.
THE HOLY BIBLE SAYS, “THE FLESH IS AGAINST THE SPIRIT. WE MUST LEAN TOWARDS THE SPIRIT THAT WE MAY BE OF THE SPIRIT.
GALATIANS, 5:-17-18 “FOR THE FLESH LUSTS AGAINST THE SPIRIT, AND THE SPIRIT AGAINST THE FLESH;AND THESE ARE CONTRARY TO ONE ANOTHER, SO THAT YOU DO NOT DO THE THINGS THAT YOU WISH. BUT IF YOU ARE LED BY THE SPIRIT, YOU ARE NOT UNDER THE LAW.”
ALLOWING THE WILL OF THE FLESH TO PREVAIL OVER THAT OF THE HOLY SPIRIT IS AS GIVING UP ON REPENTANCE AND ACCEPT BEING UNDER THE BONDAGE OF SIN.
ROMANS, 6:-20-22 “WHEN YOU WERE SLAVES TO SIN, YOU WERE FREE FROM THE CONTROL OF RIGHTEOUSNESS. WHAT BENEFIT DID YOU REAP AT THAT TIME FROM THE THINGS YOU ARE NOW ASHAMED OF? THOSE THINGS RESULT IN DEATH. BUT NOW THAT YOU HAVE BEEN SET FREE FROM SIN AND HAVE BECOME SLAVES OF GOD, THE BENEFIT YOU REAP LEADS TO HOLINESS, AND THE RESULT IS ETERNAL LIFE.”
IN CONCLUSION: JESUS PROCLAIMED, “BEHOLD I STAND AT THE DOOR, AND KNOCK; IF ANY MAN HEARS MY VOICE AND OPEN THE DOOR, I WILL COME IN TO HIM, AND WILL SUP WITH HIM AND HE WITH ME.” (REV. 3:-20-21)
